Puttanesca Recipe — for sharing! Ginger Arboleda January 17, 2013 Featured 2 Comments One of the dishes that you can cook at home if you have a lot of guests is pasta. For our merienda cena, my cousin Maika, cooked Puttanesca for the family. This, too, has a simple recipe that we (yes, take note, WE! — even if I don’t cook..lol!) can follow. The Ingredients Pasta (we chose the flat noodles, since my cousin loves the flat ones) Onions Garlic Tomatoes Anchovies Capers Olives Salt Pepper Sugar Step 1: Prepare the pasta by boiling it in hot water. Check the pack for the instructions as to how long you will have to cook it. After which, drain it and set aside. Pasta preparation: Boil the pasta! Step 2: Saute the onions and garlic. Then add the mashed tomatoes. Tomatoes, Onion and Garlic Step 3: After simmering the tomatoes, add the anchovies, capers and olives. Step 4: Add the basil leaves. Basil Leaves Step 5: Try to taste the sauce and then add salt salt, sugar and pepper. Step 6: Your sauce is now ready to be mixed with the pasta. Mix it and top with parmesan cheese. And we hope that your family will rave about your cooking as much as we all raved about Maika’s cooking! ’til our next cooking session…ta-ta! Love lots, Be Sociable, Share!
