LU (Rockwell, Makati) EJ Arboleda May 16, 2011 Featured, Food & Dining, Reviews 2 Comments Lu is a Mediterranean restaurant tucked away in The Joya – a condo right beside Powerplant – right beside the Ice Cream Bar. The restaurant showcases dishes from executive chef Luis de Terry. We’ve been meaning to go for the longest time and finally, we were able to visit last week. To start off, we ordered the Quezon Fundido (Chorizo) (P325). The chorizo is smothered under a layer of cheese. You eat it with little tortillas. The flavors were simple but bold and was a great way to start the meal. We also ordered the Lu’s Favorite Dips Trio Sampler (P350). It comes with hummus beirouty, roasted eggplant, and pico de gallo. Our favorite was the pico de gallo — it was refreshing and reminded us of little flavorful tacos. For the main course, I ordered the Herb-Crusted Lamb Spare Ribs (P595).The lamb was cooked well – not undercooked which I hate with lamb. The herb was thickly layered on the lamb and made the dish stand on its own — I didnt feel the need for Mint Jelly. It was good and I definitely recommend it.
