POBox.ph: Ship Things From the US Ginger Arboleda October 30, 2013 Featured, Home & Leisure 14 Comments My friends with babies and I have had stuff delivered from the US, before we had our little ones. I scouted for great deals that I could find online. I found good deals from Amazon. One of these was Zeeka’s stroller. It was a BOB Stroller. I was constantly looking for a good jogger stroller here in the Philippines, but I couldn’t find one. It was a pleasant surprise that I go to find this stroller valued only at $329 (around Php 15,000 only). This was cheaper than the other strollers in the stores here which are valued at double the price. The thing was, the stroller had really huge wheels so I looked for a way to ship it to the Philippines. Aside from that, I ordered other things from abroad like baby bottles, breast pumps for both me and Baby Zeeka. Through constant searching and comparing, the finally chose to have these things shipped using Philippine Online Box or POBox.ph. Using them is very simple. All you have to do is register at their site (http://pobox.ph/) and then create your request. What POBox.ph does is that they give you an address that you can use when you order items online. These items are then delivered to POBox.ph’s warehouse in California. POBox.ph then sorts the things and places them inside boxes. They then send a billing statement to us so that we can pay for the shipment. The items are then sent to the Manila warehouse where the boxes are then delivered to our homes. What I like about POBox.ph is that it’s cheaper than other courier services. They charge you based on the box that they use to fit all the stuff that you bought. They are cheaper also, because they use ships rather than airplanes, so fees are lower. It definitely made sense for me that time to use their services since what I had delivered was one standard balikbayan box (their red box) and one huge box where the stroller that I ordered was placed. They give you also a quote for huge items that cannot fit into their standard boxes. POBox.ph has a promo now for BPI Cardholders, which can be availed between September 17, 2013 to January 15, 2014. After three days and four follow-up emails to them whether they have received my payment, I still haven’t received any response. I’m glad to know they are not a scam service from your post but their email support is definitely careless to my concern. http://iamscammer.blogspot.com/2014/11/poboxph-is-this-service-scam.html Reply Brendon November 10, 2014 What happened to Pobox? Reply Christian Mallari August 14, 2014 Yeah, I’ve used them a few times already and they’ve always been good. They reply 24 hours later to standard emails. They did mess up my last box though where they charged me for a big box and said it was shipped but then it turned out that the box was too big and they put it in a smaller box. They then wanted to charge for that one too. It took them a month to realize what I was saying and got everything sorted out. But my items all arrived perfectly so ok lang. Good and reliable but they will need to work on their coordination with the local reps and the US reps. It’s like they have a hard time communicating. Reply EJ Arboleda August 22, 2014 Thanks for the comment, Christian! Reply geisha March 24, 2014 How many days after payment of the invoice should I expect to get the Tracking number? I paid March 13 and it reflected on their site as paid. Until now, even after repeated emails about my tracking number, their only reply is, wait for it until it reflects on their system. Like hello, its been two weeks already. Pobox.ph is a nightmare. Reply Ginger Arboleda March 29, 2014 Hi Geisha! My invoice was sent after POBox received the items (they need to know the size of the box). It really depends on how fast the seller can ship to POBox. :) Reply Nancy singson February 20, 2014 How much shipping for the BOB stroller pls:) Reply Gerlie February 20, 2014 Which box was used in your package? How much did the shipping cost total? I’m thinking of buying a similar sized item. Reply Joshua November 28, 2013 I had an items in pobox and I checked all my packages to be shipped, and as expected I got the green box worth $75 + $13 for the provincial charge I paid this through their BDO Peso Account, but I emailed them to confirm if they include my 5 vapes on my packages since I don’t see the packed date of that particular items ,and I was very disappointed on their answer (No, we did not include your 5 vapes because your box was already full) … WTF! The thing here is if that actually happened then they should emailed me for this situation so that I can decide if what items I’m going to remove, but they did not do that at all. Until now I’m still waiting for the tracking # as they said they will email me again for the tracking #. Reply gladys November 23, 2013 did you have to pay the bureau of customs? i want to order stuff from US but i don’t want to be charged 100%-200% by the bureau of customs AGAIN.. :) Reply Jen October 31, 2013 Ginj, how long before it arrived in the Philippines? Reply Ginger Arboleda November 5, 2013 Medyo matagal but it’s okay kasi I wasn’t in a hurry. Like a month ata :) Reply Jhune August 21, 2014 tama ba intindi ko? bale after mong mag-order online, magsesend ang POBox.ph ng billing statement sa home address mo dito sa pilipinas for u to pay the delivery cost. after u paid it u’ll wait for at least a month to receive the package. By the way, pwede bang i-ship sa office address yung item. ayoko kase sa bahay namin. EJ Arboleda August 22, 2014 Yes, they’ll send you the billing statement AFTER they receive the package from Amazon, eBay, etc. And then you pay the delivery cost. They ship it kasi via container so that’s why you only pay based on size, regardless of weight. Yeah, they can deliver anywhere you want, basta may magrereceive. Thanks for visiting!
