Wildflour Cafe + Bakery Bonifacio Global City Ginger Arboleda May 9, 2013 Featured, Food & Dining, Reviews One of the famous new restaurants in Bonifacio Global City is Wildflour. I’m so happy that the restaurant is just a few blocks away from where we live, but the problem is that it gets full everyday. The first time that we went there, the server mentioned that we had to call before going to reserve seats. It made us wonder what the fuss was all about. Was it really that good? Last week was our second attempt to eat at Wildflour. Of course, as stubborn people, we didn’t call and just tried our luck. When we got there, we were lucky that we had a table. There was only one empty table with two empty chairs available. The restaurant was again jam packed. While waiting for our orders, we were served bread. This has got to be one of the best breads (plain as it is) that I have ever tasted. After one serving, we asked for more (but we had to wait since they bake the bread in the restaurant). Wildflour Bread and Butter — AMAZING! For our appetizer, you guessed it right! We ordered our favorite French Onion Soup. Obviously, the bread was good. The gruyere cheese was mouth watering and it melted into the soup. The soup was mixed perfectly and the onions were melt-in-your mouth super tasty! I would love to order that again. Sorry, I just remembered to take the picture after one spoonful…;) For our main dishes, I had the Steak and Egg (Php 495) and EJ had the Shortribs sandwich (Php 410). Steak and Egg (Php 495) The steak and egg had nicely cut Kitayama flat iron steak which was placed on top of the Kimchi fried rice. The raw egg was on top and placed on top of the rice with the steak. I love the rice! It had just the right amount of spice. The steak was cooked perfectly although I expected more meat; The dish had 5 slices of steak. Shortribs sandwich (Php 410) I got to taste the Shortribs Sandwich. I loved this dish! The ribs were tasty and the meat was tender. The ciabatta bread was perfectly grilled and crunchy on the outside. The sandwich had caramelized peppers and onions that added a little sweetness to it. It had melted mozzarella cheese. We didn’t get to try the desserts though since I had to go home to nurse my baby. We now see why this is a frequented place by those in the neighborhood and even visitors from other places. We now understand why this place is always full. The food is really good!
