When in Subic, one of the places that you have to go to to have lunch or dinner (or maybe even a hearty breakfast) is Meat Plus. Oftentimes, when we travel to Subic, we get to pass by this restaurant, but we never did get the chance to eat there.
We have always heard good stories about Meat Plus Subic, but we never got the chance to try it until now. It was Saturday noon and the place was jam-packed. Upon entering the place, you will be given a stub that says the color that will indicate where you will be seated.
Then you can proceed to fall in line to order. In front of you will be a huge yellow and blue board that will show you all the dishes that Meat Plus is serving. They serve sandwiches, pasta, salad, dishes for main course, desserts and several drinks.
For the main course, you can choose from Hamburger Steak at Php 170 or Grilled Boneless Chicken at Php 165, or the Rib Eye Steak at Php 395. if you want fish, they also have the Grilled Salmon Steak at Php 255.
I suggest though that you get your own steak. There is a refrigerator that contains several cuts of meat. This is a sample. This is a US Angus Rib eye Steak at Php 520.38.
What we ordered were two pieces at Php 751. You can order it for them to cook and eat at Meat Plus (Just add Php 100 for cooking the steak), or you can have it to go — to cook at home. We had our steak there and we had it medium.
The two pieces of steak each came with a cup of rice and vegetable sidings. The meat was very tender. Cooking the steak medium was a good decision. The steak was perfectly cooked. By the way, the orders came after 15-20 minutes, which was just perfect for steaks to be cooked well.
Some of us ordered the Grilled Salmon Steak. Even for fish, Meat Plus Subic cooked this dish well. The fish was fresh. There was no trace of “pagkalangsa”. This is how all of us dream our fish dishes would turn out. It also came with a rice and vegetables.
If you’re thinking of going to Subic for a vacation, try out the steaks at Meat Plus Subic. The delicious meal will be worth the visit!

Hi everyone! One of our readers shared this comment. Just wanted to share!
"i just read the meat plus review since i love steaks. to tempted to go there after reading it. anyways, just thought that you'd like to know that meat plus owners are the same as tender bob's, hence the very similar menu's. even in tender bob's, you can read that they are a 'meat plus' company. oh, and the chef/owner just opened a new resto recently, in ayala triangle gardens. CBD – cheesesteaks, burgers, and drinks. i have yet to try it, but plan to soon. :)
