Bring back your childhood memories! Visit the Pretty in Pink Auction Barbie at the Rockwell Power Plant Mall (Near Zara). I went there yesteday to look at the different doll displays. Why does Rockwell have this? It’s actually a charity auction where more than 60 Barbie dolls were dressed up by some of the top Filipino designers, like Rajo Laurel, Veluz, etc. and even commercial brands like Freeway. This event is called Pretty in Pink.

The proceeds of the Barbie auction is for the benefit of Philippine Red Cross, Bantay Bata, Assumption HS’81 Foundation, and Gifts and Graces. The sponsors of this event are Smart Infinity, Swatch, Singapore Airlines, Contours Center, HSBC, Flip, Glagla Shoes and Rockwell Land Corporation.
My favorite were the three dolls of Veluz.

The Veluz Dolls were all in Filipiniana dresses. I loved how Veluz worked on the details of the dress.
I loved the concept of this charity project. It was so creative and smart to have that kind of fund raiser. I’ve been scouting around for good non-profit projects and this is one of the nice ones we have seen.
Today is the last day for bidding. There are still dolls that you can bid for. Hurry to Rockwell Center and try to bid! This is a good way to give back to society and at the same time, get a great looking doll!
