The Manila Workshops Team would like to invite you to send your yaya, maid, ‘ate’, household help, ‘manang’, etc. to attend the first workshop of our House Helper Series, Ok Ka, Yaya Ko! Workshop. This workshop will be held at the Valle Verde 5 Cabana on February 2, 2013. It will be a whole day workshop, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, which includes sessions and interactive activities on First Aid, Child Care, Self-Development and Etiquette.

We would like to meet you through this interesting brand that we have established last year. The brand is called Manila Workshops. For Dec. 2012 and January 2013, we bring you two exciting events that you may want to be a part of. The Yes Mommy! Workshop and the It's a WAHMderful Life Workshop.

If you want to know more about jobs that you can do at home, well, here is good news for moms, soon-to-be moms and even dads out there! Daintymom.com, ManilaWorkshops.com and Celeteque is bringing you this workshop called "It's a WAHMderful Life: A Work at Home Mom's 101". This will be on October 27, 2012 at Cowo, Ground Floor Suntree Tower, #27 Sapphire Road, Ortigas Center. This will run from 10 am to 4 pm.

I love hearing inspiring words from others, especially when it comes to starting their own businesses. As I listened to Anton Diaz's talk on Blogging last Friday, I wanted very much to be like him. I wanted to earn from doing the thing that I am most passionate about, which was Blogging. I agree with him that if you have got to earn to live, why not do it doing the thing that you love the most?

I am so excited for this! Have you ever seen someone and admired the way she dresses? Have you ever opened your closet and wondered why you had so many stuff and yet only 1/3 really gets worn? Have you ever listened to a presentation and wondered how a speaker can get so good at convincing people and wondered where the confidence comes from? Have you ever gone to a job interview or even a casting go see and no matter how many you go to, you never get picked?

I recently wrote an article about being a full time employee and a part blogger. I'm sure any blogger with that passion and desire for writing and sharing experiences, would at one point in their lives, think of going 'full time' with it. It is so hard though to make the decision --- the "jump", since earning form it isn't something that you can be sure about... or can it be?

I know that a lot of people have this dream of owning their own company --- of being the 'boss'. I have the same dream. I have been in an employee in an advertising agency and I have been a product manger in a corporation (until now). I have also been employed under my family business and have started my own businesses as well. With all these various experiences, I have seen people succeed and people fail. I have heard people get fired and have fired people. I have seen the struggles of owners of companies and I have seen victorious and contented employees. It was with all of these experiences that I thought of starting Manila Workshops.

I have yet finished another very fulfilling event, and this made me happy. Last week, I had a conversation with Martine from DaintyMom.com, and both of us agreed that we need to all have our own personal missions in life. I have my own mission which is to help people tap into their entrepreneurial side and try to help them start their businesses by helping them learn, implement and love what they do.
