I won't argue at all when one tells me that Omakase is the place to have good sushi and maki. I have to tell you, the first time I visited the place, I didn't like it as much. I think I ordered the wrong dishes. A friend told me that I should have ordered the maki and sushi at Omakase. Okay, so just to give it another shot, my husband an I went to visit this Japanese restaurant again after coming from work.

A prevalent trend nowadays is the fusion of different regional styles. Mr. Kurosawa is one of those restaurants. Owned by actor Marvin Agustin, patterned after his successful Sumo Sam restaurant.

Yakimix. Now, I understand why people flock to this restaurant. There is something about cooking your own food that gives that "extra appeal" to Filipinos. I guess this concept of Yakiniku or grilling meat by the Japanese appeals to our race, too, since we Filipinos love to cook and love to make homemade dishes (and most of us, simply love to eat).
