The Work-At-Home Weekend Expo 2014 Ginger Arboleda October 7, 2014 Finance & Business Tips This October 25, 2014, Manila Workshops and WAHMderful Life Community, together with Insular Life, Unilab, 88db.com and vOffice Philippines will hold the Work-At-Home Weekend Expo 2014. This event is open to work-at-home individuals or to those who plan to work from home, whether single, married, or with children. As mentioned by Martine de Luna, founder of WAHMderful Life Community (community of work-at-home-moms), this event will have broader spectrum of topics to be discussed compared with the previous events under WAHMderful Life workshop series. There will be talks on some of the in-demand work at home jobs on the market, streams of legal matters, freelancing, online and home-based business ideas, and more. Here are the list of the topics and the very knowledgeable guest speakers who will be discussing each: • Business Ideation: Profitable Business Ideas by Jeff Cua • How to Land Your First Virtual Assistant Gig by Marge Aberasturi • How to Create a Winning Business Plan & Reach Your Perfect Clients by Joy Gurtiza • How to Get (and Keep!) Your Freelance Writing Jobs by Tina Rodriguez • How To Succeed & Not Suck at Social Media Management by Grace Bondad Nicolas • Money Smarts: Beginner Level Investing & Personal Finance by Fitz Villafuerte • Legalizing Your Business the Hassle-Free Way by Dandy C. Victa • Retailing Business: Branding and Word of Mouth through C2C by Bam Besa • Computer 101: How to Use and Care for your Investment by Jennyfer Ang Tan • Be a Photo Editor: Basic Photo Editing & Photography Jobs by Kimberley Timbol-Reyes • Managing your Kids while Working at Home by Mariel Uyquiengco • Eating Right & Easy Meals when you’re a Busy-holic by Lourdes Labii Apart from the talks, there will be close to 50 booths, which will feature the businesses of our sponsors and home-based businesses. We will also have some booths that will sell second hand items. All of these booths will be situated at the main hall and simultaneously, the talks will happen at the two other closed classrooms. With the success of the WAHMderful Life Workshop series whose main objective is to build a support group for work-at-home-moms, the organizers, Martine De Luna of MakeitBlissful.com and Ginger Arboleda from Manila workshops, hope that with this event, we would be able to bring knowledge and opportunities to more people and not just to work-at-home-moms. Plans to bring the workshop series to other parts of the country is in place so that more people will know about this option of working from home.
