Right after Typhoon Haiyan, there were a lot of people sending out donations. A lot of people were talking about it in social media even. that time, I remember being asked by an acquaintance as to how long do I think will the donations and help keep coming in. I wasn’t sure. But it saddens me that not a lot of people talk about it anymore.

Typhoon Haiyan may have already happened around a year ago but the devastation that it left still lingers. To ease that, continues efforts must be done to be able to wipe away the tears and replace them with happy thoughts – especially that of the children of Tacloban.

The Manila Workshops team, together with Luna MNL and BEME are happy to be able to be an instrument in creating happy memories for the kids of Tacloban through our workshop entitled, Bears for Haiyan: A DIY Caridad Charity Bear Workshop. We are inviting you, both young and old, to learn, have fun and bring a smile to the face of one child.

In this workshop, you will learn how to make your own stuffed animals while being able share what you have. Part of the proceeds of the bears are for the benefit of the children affected by typhoon Haiyan.
