I’m so happy that Uber is now in Manila. I told Ej about it a few months ago when I heard the news that they were arriving in Manila. He was so happy, too, because it just brings the ‘request for a transportation via an app’ to a whole new level. For those who don’t know what UBER is, it’s basically like a rent-a-car service that’s linked to an application on your phone. Requests for pick up are done via the application and tracking of your route to your destination can be done via the app, too.

What I like about Uber:

1. The Cars are amazing!

When I requested to be picked up, I got a Toyota Camry! Other times, it was a Nissan Teana. It was black so I guess the color added to the classiness. Oh but there was this one time when a white car picked me up. It was white but it had a sun roof. I had an amazing ride!

Kuya Driver was also in a uniform, so it added to the experience. Also, the interiors of the car was very clean.

2. It was very easy to get a ride.

In less than 10 minutes, the car picked us up. To use the app, you need to download it and set it up with all your information (inlcuding your credit card number if you wish to pay via credit card). I heard though from a friend that she’s now having ahard time booking a ride. So if you have feedback on this, please do leave a comment below.

3. Very safe!

I love that you don’t need to bring cash with you since the fee is charge to your credit card. I hate it when drivers of taxis ask for additional fee for long rides. With this process, I feel more safe and secure that I need not bring out cash.
