Kids of Today are Money Smart

I had to learn about finances when I was already in college. I think that I learned about investments only when I entered the banking industry. I never really thought about learning more about investing or saving up for the future until I was 25. But gone are those days. People, even kids now, are different. As early as 7 or 8, kids know the concept of “interest”.

This is good actually! For those who need help teaching their kids to become money smart, Manila Workshops under the Ready to be Rich workshop series will hold a rerun of the Money Smart Kids Workshop on April 27!

Money Smart Kids

Who should attend this workshop?
– This workshop is open to children aged 7 to 12 years
– Kids should be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is willing to participate in the workshop activities

– What is money and where does it comes from
– Where and how do my mommy and daddy get their money
– What can I do with money, apart from spending it
– Why is saving money important
– What are banks and what do they do
– What are credit cards and how does it work

Instructor:
