It has been a while since I have had Italian food in a restaurant (aside from the occasional take out pizzas… If that counts). Last week, Ej and I brought Baby Zeeka to Glorietta and Rustans Makati to go shopping. She loves shopping! Since Daddy Ej came from work, we had to satisfy his grumbling tummy first. We walked around Glorietta looking for a quiet place where we can eat and where I could nurse baby Z. Armed with my nursing cover, we ended up at La Piadina.

I remember eating at their branch in Robinsons Galleria a few years back. I used to love that place. I actually don’t know why I never returned.

For this visit, we ordered Minestrone Soup for our appetizer, and Calzone and Chicken Piadina for our main course. The minestrone soup was good. Ej loved it. It tasted like it was made from real tomatoes (I hope it really was), just the way we like it.

Look at this gigantic Calzone! Their Calzone can actually be shared by two people, so Ej and I shared this dish. At first, I thought we couldn’t finish it, but we actually did. Our yaya ordered the Chicken Piadina which was as good.

I loved the food. The service was good, too. Some suggestions that I would make though is that they change their place mats already. Their place mats are actually laminated paper, but you can see that these are all worn out. Aside from that, everything was good.

Thanks,
