We chatted with the owner, Sydnee Ang, and it was very interesting to find out that these pieces are made from real steel! The good thing about making jewelry from steel is that it’s tougher than gold, but it still has the same luster as silver. He says that it is actually more difficult to ‘form’ steel, but as you can see, it is definitely worth it. Customers don’t even have to worry about having allergies.
Here’s another fact: The types of steel that is used by EMO Stainless steel jewelry is not the same kind used in making spoons and forks. What they use is medical grade stainless steel, which is the kind that is used for making surgical blades, and in body bone implants, hence it being high hypoallergenic.
