A Visit to Seattle’s Best Coffee Ginger Arboleda December 5, 2010 Events, Featured, Food & Dining 2 Comments I guess, a lot of people are like me. In the past few years, I have developed an addiction to coffee. Coffee shops have been my second home. I’m sure a lot of people in Manila are now coffee lovers, which is why, when my colleague Azrael invited us to a gathering last November 29, 2010 at Seattle’s Best Coffee, I couldn’t say no. Who says no to that? Bloggers at the SBC Blogger Event SBC Blogger event It was International Publicist Joyce A. Ramirez that hosted the SBC Blogger’s Brunch at Seattle’s Best Greenbelt 3 branch (Ground Floor). Joyce is one of the celebrity endorsers of Seattle’s Best. She stands among premiere model-turned-hunk actor Akihiro Sato (who is also one of the last 4 people to with stand this year’s SURVIVOR Philippines series in GMA), beauty empire heiress Cristalle Belo, model and Animax VJ Stephanie Henares, celebrity daughter and stylist to the stars Alyanna Martinez, and director Paul Soriano. Seattle's Best Coffee Endorsers That morning, we got to try lots of different drinks, meals and pastries from Seattle’s Best Coffee. I ordered the Iced White Chocolate Mocha while EJ ordered the Iced Raspberry Mocha Kiss. SBC Drinks and Cookie Honestly, I never get to go to Seattle’s Best as often as I do with the other brands, and this is because there aren’t any Seattle’s Best stores in the Ortigas area. I have to say though that, the coffee was pretty good, as well. The two specialty drinks that we ordered were quite unique. The Raspberry Mocha Kiss, especially, had a different taste. SBC Raspberry Mocha Kiss Seattle’s Best Coffee, ever since it started its first branch 10 years ago, promises full-flavored coffees. They believe that the experience of having coffee starts with analyzing the taste and appreciating the different flavors that you get from it. SBC, therefore caters to the more discerning coffee drinker. It was such a shame that I didn’t get to order black coffee. Ej and I were taught how to appreciate coffee by our neighbor, Mr. Reyes. I could have used that opportunity to practice and develop this. SBC Panini We also ordered the Pesto, Tomato and Mozzarella Panini. It had tomatoes and fresh mozzarella layered on top of a textured pesto sauce. It was inside a toasted whole wheat ciabatta. It was delicious, and I know that I would come back for this. I love cheese with pesto, and this was sure to be a personal favorite. SBC Carrot Cake We also had pastries: carrot cake and the chocolate chip cookie. I like “chewy” cookies, so their cookie at SBC wasn’t my thing. The carrot cake was soft and moist. It had cream-cheese like topping to it. SBC Pastries For this Christmas, they are giving away katya made bags designed by Team Manila and a Seattle’s Best tumbler. I do hope that they consider to put up a store in Ortigas Business district and actually, try to put up more stores. If you want to see the list of their stores, click here.
