Cravings has always been a haven of good food, delicious desserts, and sumptuous cakes for those in the Katipunan area and for good reason. They also house the renowned CCA Kitchen, training some of the brightest culinary minds the country has to offer. For this review, however, we wanted to see if they are able to maintain the high quality outside of their main restaurant. So we didn’t go to their Katipunan restaurant, we went to their little restaurant in the Eastwood mall.

Ginger ordered the Cravings Slow Braised Beef Short Ribs with Risotto (P360).  The meat was perfectly tender and practically melter off the bone.  The risotto was very well made – very tasteful, not undercooked, nor overcooked, and the taste of corn was very subtle.

The Old Fashioned Beef Pot Roast with Sour Cream Potato Puree was a little under seasoned for me.  The beef was nice and tender but I did have to add a little salt and pepper for taste.

Aside from this, getting an entree allows you to get from the unlimited salad bar (I have flashbacks of Wendy’s), the bread basket, and the soup bar.  Nothing that stands out but not bad either.

Service-wise, it was great – attentive but not obtrusive.  The atmosphere was very relaxed so it allowed us to spend hours just talking and catching up.

From our experience, I would say that Cravings Eastwood still serves well done comfort food.  Based on my experience, I would recommend Cravings for a casual meal with family or some good old friends.
