Living and loving sweets! What I love about Christmas is that desserts and sweets are seen everywhere. Hhmm, not only seen, but eaten of course! Gifts being given include melt-in-you-mouth pastries, such as the ones offered by Dessert Barn.
You will literally forget your name with a cake called Amnesia from Dessert Barn. From the very first encounter with this cake, it was love at first bite! This cake is made of four layers of chocolate cake (you heard it right… 4 layers!) with three layers of chocolate cream. It has an oreo crust and is topped off with dark chocolate fudge. If you’re a chocolate lover, you will love this dessert. The cake was so moist that it was like eating chocolate pudding. I would bet that the 6 inch (Php 480) Amnesia cake will be selling like pancakes this Christmas season.
Another specialty of Dessert Barn is ILOVU. This is their take on the red velvet cake that’s increasing in popularity these days. The cake is moist and by itself, it was already delicious. The cake is topped with a creamy icing (cream cheese). This makes it a perfect dessert for those with sweet tooth and for those who want it to be “simple” yet delicious, you can lightly pat on the cream cheese icing and you’re good to go.
For the banana cake addicts, Going Bananas is the cake for you. It’s as moist as all the other cakes of Dessert Barn and is topped with peanut butter cream cheese frosting. With or without the cream, this dessert is sure to blow your mind! The 6 inch cake is at Php 300 and the 9 inch cake is at Php 580.
Dessert Barn also offers brownies and the oreo brownie with cream cheese filling. We had our nephew try it.
