I think this is the first time that I have heard about this concept: Boudoir Photography. I came across the site of Boudoir Le Blanc and I saw all of these amazing photos. I was curious. I’m not that daring, but I ‘may’ one of these days try this (when I get to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight… or even probably, my high school weight). That means it may take a while before I get to contact these ladies behind Boudoir Le Blanc. But YOU may be interested! It’s so cool to see classy, confident and sophisticated women shot in uniquely styled photos with different photography concepts.

I got to interview Heather, Tooney and Tina, the ladies behind Boudoir Le Blanc . I asked them about their business, since the concept was so interesting!

The Boudoir Le Blanc Team

Ginger: What is the idea behind your business?

The BLB Team: Having had the opportunity to work with ladies from all walks of life, to hear the words, “Wow, I can’t believe that’s me,” is the most rewarding aspect of our work. When we first started our business, we knew that our goal was to produce timeless photos of everyday women. The kind of photos that you look back on to remind you just how beautiful you once were. We’re always on the prowl for those moments that depict our clients exactly the way they want to be perceived. With the boom in social networking, we knew that the time was NOW.

As much as a gorgeous end product was our goal, we also realized that giving each lady the “experience of a lifetime,” was a top priority as well. As a woman, it’s not as easy as it sounds to just strip down to sexy clothes and sit on a bed for some photos. Having done it ourselves, we knew just how daunting that task was. What became apparent was that just working up the guts to book a session was an undertaking in itself, so we realized just how important it was to get to know our client, before anything else. We formulated a questionnaire that was designed to give us an insight into their personalities, passions and beliefs. From that, we create personalized set designs and wardrobe mood boards that we send to each client before their Boudoir Session. These things help our clients visualize what’s in store for them and to prepare themselves for that ONE DAY wherein they need to feel their sexiest. We make everything happen for them … Up until the hair & make-up to the color of their nail polish, to their drink of choice to loosen them up. We take care of ALL the little details, so that our client is relaxed, happy and willing to go out of her comfort zone.

Ginger: How did you come up with this idea? It’s such an interesting concept.

The BLB Team: The two of us have always been totally visual people. Being sisters, we also have basically the same tastes and cohesive styles. When we first decided to embark on this journey, we knew that someday we wanted to be known for a particular style of photography. We just weren’t sure at the start exactly what our niche was. We chanced upon Boudoir Photography, mainly because we wanted timeless and classic photos of ourselves.

We then started to experiment and do a lot of research and realized that we have a huge passion for Boudoir Photography. People interpret this style of photography in many different ways, but to us, it’s always been about empowering women. As much as inner beauty is very important to most people, ladies especially draw strength in themselves when they feel physically attractive. It makes your self-confidence soar, which most definitely carries on to all aspects of your life. Our goal then became to offer this opportunity and experience to every lady out there!

We both agree that what gives us the most satisfaction is when we are able to catch an accurate glimpse into the lives of each individual client then ultimately capture it on film. That is when we know that we’ve done our jobs well.

Ginger: Who is your target market?

The BLB Team: That is really a great question because we can’t think of a particular type of woman whom we wouldn’t target as our market. We are great at adapting to all types of ladies, in very different stages of their careers and lives in general. Some of our clients are more than willing to try new things, while others are more conservative in their ways. We respect the limitations of each of our clients and we really listen to them with regards to their expectations for their Boudoir Session. To us, that’s what makes a Boudoir Session for EVERY lady, essential!

What really excites us nowadays is to see how a Boudoir Session is starting to become imperative for brides-to-be! We just adore the idea of them giving this as a gift to their husbands-to-be! What we equally adore though are the ladies who do it just for themselves too. Mostly, you don’t need to have any reason at all to book a Boudoir Session with us, because Boudoir Photography is for every woman out there.

Ginger: That’s a cute idea. If you were here before I got married, I would have availed of your services! :) Unfortunately, I’m pregnant now, with stretchmarks and all, but, I’m sure there are a lot of women out there, who would want to try having their photos taken. Thank you, Boudoir Le Blanc!
