The first time I met Jackie, she was the first one who arrived for the first run of our screening. She was in Le Bistro Vert at exactly 2:00 pm. We thought that this was something that one should look for in a designer. Her professionalism stood out, and we are proud to have her as one of our finalists.
Of course, aside from being such, Jackie is a very talented girl. She has been a designer for 2 years. She is a junior from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, but she took designer fashion workshops at the Asian Institute of Fashion, under the guidance of Lulu Tan-Gan. With the support of her mom that urged her to pursue on what she does well, she worked as an intern for Patrice Ramos-Diaz.
This simple girl has an elegant style. Her simple style exudes class. She sees to it that her designs are timeless, and can be worn by women of various ages and even personal styles. She believes that clothes have to enhance the beauty of a woman, but have to be comfortable, as well. She loves to use plain and printed fabric. She also creates pieces that can be worn as daywear and evening wear.
Jackie gives us a glimpse on what to expect from her collection especially made for HYD’s Fashion Face Off.
