Mango-ong: Green Mango and Singkamas with Bagoong

It’s lunch time and i’m contemplating whether to brave the heat or not just to get a box of Mango-ong. Yes, you heard me right… I said Mango-ong. Nope, it’s not one of those shortened terms like OMG! or LOL!, but it’s actually a brand of a new product at Robinson’s Galleria.

Mango-ong serves sliced green mango and sliced singkamas. The green mango is priced at Php 20 for half a mango and Php 10 for half a slice of singkamas. You also have the option to choose the bagoong that you want. They have choices of bagoong which differs in saltiness, sweetness and spiciness. They have an indicator printed on one of the signs in the stall so that you will have a guide on what to choose.

We tried the Regular and the Regular spicy.

This is actually a nice concept for a stall. It’s very simple, the overhead expenses I assume is very low and the profit and margins are high. I don’t know if they franchise though, but it’s a simple enough concept that can be replicated. Whoever thought about this concept… kuddos to you! I have a reason now to go to Robinson’s Galleria! Yipee!

hi! natuwa ako kc may mango at singkamas na naka-cart s mall. Kasi favorite ko yun. Dated Aug. 22, 2011. nagpunta ko sa robinson metroeast para maggrocery. Nakita ko nga Mango-ong nag try ako bumili 3 orders ginawa ko kc favorite ko nga. Nagkamali ako akala ko yung container for alamang e free kc katabi lng naman ng salt.. so i thought free kumuha ako. Yung crew nakita nya ko na kumukuha nakita ko kinalabit nya patago yung kasama nya. to get my attention na ndi ko dapt kunin. I apologized immediately d ko alam n may bayd pero 1 peso lng naman daw… Ang sama ng tingin sakin nung isang crew. sabi ko in a nice way bakit naman ang sama ng tingin m. sagot sakit rudely talaga ” bakit masama b tumingin!?” i responded sabi ko ndi naman kaso may tingin na maganda sa paningin at meron d naman ndi. I ask her name she sd tom me ” bakit ko ibibigay sayo?” responded rudely again. Grabe 1st time ko bumili tpos the fact na nakita nya ako dapat sya na naginform sakin. kinalabit pa nya kasama nya. just for 1 peso. d ko naman sinasadya at pwede naman ako sabihan nicely w/ a smile. What hapened next was i just threw my orders in the trush can.
