We have tried the Gigi’s Custaroons, and it is a dessert that is not like any other. I forgot to share this when we first tried it, but this is worth sharing. A custaroon is a combination of smooth and creamy flan topped with a chewy, buttery crust. I got to try the cheese flavored custaroons, box of 12 at Php 350. We also tried the Custaroon Poppers. These custaroons come in a tub.

These Custaroon Poppers are bite-sized custaroon balls that are coated with a premium dark chocolate powder. Upon biting into the custaroon popper, you will taste a creamy and grainy milk like concoction (sort of like the Dulce Gatas that we had back home in Negros). You will also taste a different texture from the coconut mixed into the popper. The chocolate powder balances out the sweetness of the custaroon, which was amazingly perfect.

Another dessert that we recently tried was the Mini Brazo Mercedes by JOY. The tagline in the box writes “taste. remembered.” It is so true since once you taste these mini brazo de mercedes, you will remember the chewy taste of this dessert. The size is just right to cap off a filling meal. Each box of 8 is at P130.
