“A Taste of Heaven at Your Doorstep”

Thank God it’s Friday! I love Fridays since you can just lounge around and lie on your bed and have DVD marathons while munching FOOD! We love blogging not only about the finest restaurants in town, but also the ordinary food stalls or restaurants in the metropolis. We believe that this would help polarize competition, pushing these restaurants to improve, and help make the whole ‘food scene’ much better.

Anyway, speaking of perfect lazy Fridays – nothing says lazy like getting delivery instead of cooking. And pizza has been the staple of delivery. Which pizza? Today, we recommend you try out Angel’s.

Angel’s Pizza offers original hand tossed pizza in 10 flavors, Angel’s thin or thin crust pizza in 2 flavors and their best seller, the Angel’s Double in 3 variants.

For the Angel’s thin (Big Family Size at Php 515), we tried the Shrimp Pesto flavor. It was simply made of a thin crust topped with cheese, pesto and shrimps. A nice thing about this pizza is that the shrimps were generously spread across the whole pizza.

For the original hand tossed pizza (which comes in three sizes: Medium, Family and Big Family), we tried the Extra Feast, which was made out of different veggies and meat – similar to other pizza chain’s “supreme” pizza. I suggest that you order either the Cheesy Burger, which was made out of little burger rolls on top of cheese or the Spicy Tuna, which was composed of mushroom, onion and spicy tuna. The big family size costs around Php 399 – Php 555 depending on the flavor.

Our favorite was the Angel’s Double. Angel’s Double “replicates” stuffed pizza. We tried the Cheesy Melt. It had a lower thin crust topped with pepperoni slices. It was then covered by another (softer) crust smothered in cheese. Other variants are BBQ and Cheesy Burger. When I bet into the pizza, the cheese came oozing out… sarap! All come in one size (Big Family) at 599.

For those who feel like it’s not a meal without rice (you know who you are), the also offer combo meals: 1/2 pcs. of chicken with rice, 1 pc. chicken with any choice of pasta or 1 pc. pork chop and rice. The pork chop was deep fried making it really crunchy.

Angel's Pizza Liempo

1. 1pc chicken w/ Al Tonno, 2. Pork Chop/Liempo

For the pasta choices, they have arriabiata, tuna, carbonara, chorizo, pesto or classic spaghetti. Each flavor is sold at Php 179 each except for the Classic Spaghetti at Php 139.

Angel's Pizza Desserts

We ordered the three available desserts that they have, the brownies, carrot loaf and pudding with vanilla. I love the brownies. The outer layer was crunchy but when you bite on it, the inner part was so soft. They give you a chocolate dip but even without the dip, it’s delicious.

If you need to have food delivered for meetings to serve a lot of hungry people, or looking for a new place for that friday lunch out, or even if it’s just you craving for something to munch on especially on a Friday night like this, we recommend Angel’s Pizza Pasta Combo.

I’m not associated with Angel’s Pizza so I can’t really say for sure. Pero tingin ko, kung FREE yun, wala dapat bayad. Bumili ka nalang ng pizza diretso sa Angel’s for P399.

I heard that the owner of the domino’s branches in the philippines and Angel’s pizza is one and the same. That Angel’s pizza recipes are just replica’s off of domino’s pizzas, is this true?

Looking at these photos, I’m pretty disappointed with what Angel’s Pque branch delivered to us a few weeks ago. We bought a VIP card for the buy 1, take 1 promos and used it for the first time. We ordered a big family Cheesy Burger and got Angel’s Aloha for the free medium pizza. The person who took our order asked us if it was okay for us to wait because the Pque branch had a lot of orders, and I was okay with that. The wait wasn’t the issue; it was the pizza itself. I was really, REALLY disappointed with how little the toppings and cheese were on the pizza (and to think it was called CHEESY burger). The Angel’s Aloha was okay and the brownies too but I didn’t like the grainy chocolate sauce.

I don’t know if it was because we had a promo order or because the branch was so busy that our pizza suffered in its quality. I’ll probably still give Angel’s a second chance. Sayang rin ung 400 na binayad ko for the VIP card. But if our next order still sucks, I’m going back to Yellow Cab. Mahal nga but at least sulit ang lasa sa Yellow Cab.

I have to say I’ve lived in the states for 25+ years and then here in Manila for 4+ years…Angels Pizza is the closest to pizza in the states. Best taste and best for the money. Hands Down the Best in the Philippines!

Don't waste your time on Angel's Pizza, it's not even worth a cent. Taste is too salty and the dough hard as a rock. Oh, I forgot to mention, delivery would take at least an hour. Try something else.

It's still the old recipe for Dominos. They didn't renew their franchise contract with Domino's as it was a new franchise fee given Dominos completely changed their pizza recipe.
