Woohoo! Lugang Cafe in SM Aura is now open. I have been waiting for this. The first and the last time that I have been to their branch in Greenhills was when I was still 5 months pregnant.

I missed the String Beans with Salted Egg dish. That was my favorite. I think I can eat one whole order of that (but of course, I didn’t :) hehe).

Well, anyway, I suggested to my husband that we eat there for his birthday. He liked the idea, since he never got to try Lugang Cafe in Greehills. He heard about people’s good feedback and of course, my ‘raves’ so he was curious to try it.

We got to SM Aura at 12:30pm, just in time for lunch. We were with Baby Zeeka. The restaurant had spacious aisles that allowed us to maneuver our stroller effortlessly inside the restaurant. The server also gave us a high chair for Baby Zeeka to sit on.

I immediately grabbed the menu and I wanted to order right away. My husband beat me to it and he ordered Xiao Long Bao when I was busily wiping the high chair with alcohol (sorry, OC mom in the house!).

When i got hold of the menu, I ordered Salt and Pepper Squid, String Beans with Salted Egg, Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles in Peanut Sauce and three orders of plain rice.

To finish, we ordered the Peanut Smoothie, which was good for 4 people, I think. There were the three of us (Ej, me and yaya) and we were having a hard time finishing this dessert. This was one of my favorite desserts of all time. The texture was very light. The flavor was similar to ‘chocnut’, and I love Chocnut!

Overall, the food was delicious and amazing, as I expected it to be so. My husband was full and happy, and that was all that mattered. I also don’t think that they use MSG, since I didn’t feel bloated after. I also like the service. The waiters were very attentive. Clap clap for this restaurant!

Have you tried it there? What do you think of Lugang cafe’s food and their service?

Love lots,
