Sandalias Festival 2010
I’m a flip-flop person. I love wearing flip-flops on weekends. It’s too bad that my work is in a corporate environment. Early last week, I got an invitation to the Sandalias Festival 2010. I was so excited to go and see the new collections of the four popular brands: Ipanema, Ipanema Gisele Bundchen, Grendha and Rider footwear. Seeing the flyer made me even more excited to go as there were many activities in store for the attendees.
We were there at around 3:00 pm and the event was just about to start. To our amazement, there were already tons of people buying from the four different booths outside of the cordoned area. Of course, there were four booths which showed the different products of the different brands. The good thing was the products were all 10% off. People were scrambling to buy their perfect pair. The Sandalias Festival 2010 was just like one big party. There were little pockets of activity in the Trinoma activity center. My husband and I had an enjoyable foot spa with my friends, Mom Friday and Mrs. Martinez. Other people went and had nail art, tatoo and some joined the wall climbing and the gyrating mechanical surf board. The culminating event for everyone was the Giant Pinata that contained loads of prizes for everyone.
The real stars during the festival were the Ipanema, Ipanema Gisele Bundchen, Grendha and Rider footwear products. Ipanema is the perfect footwear for people who loves the beach or just for a casual lunch out during weekends. The Ipanema Gisele Bundchen appeals to the fashionista Filipina, who love to wear the “in” and “kikay” things that people will admire and ask about. The Rider was made for the more adventurous crowd, who’s willing to go hiking and trekking. And lastly, the Grendha is for that city girl, who is always on the go. I’m planning to buy a Grendha closed shoe for work. I might drop by one of their stores this weekend. Hey, it will be my birthday, so I’m allowed to splurge ;)
We got to meet the Managing Director of ELRO Corporation, Mr. Patxi Elizalde. He was a very down to earth guy, who was shaking the hands of all the well wishers during the event. Mr. Elizade mentioned that fans can look forward to a more exciting year for the brand. They will have more new products from Ipanema, Ipanema Gisele Bundchen, Grendha and Rider footwear.
