The US Embassy in the Philippines will increase their Visa fees effective today, June 4, 2010.
$140 – B1/B2, C1/D, F, J, and all other NIV categories not listed below (Visitor/Transit/Student)
$150 – H, L, O, P, Q, and R (Temporary Worker)
$350 – K (Fiancée)
$390 – E (Investor/Trader)
All rates were previously at $131.
Note that if your interview date is on June 4, 2010 or later, you have to pay the full Machine Readable Visa (MRV) fee, even if you’ve already made an appointment and paid the old rate of $131. For the difference, you have to pay it in the SAME BANK BRANCH where you made the initial payment. You will have to pay this BEFORE arriving at the embassy on the appointed date, otherwise you won’t be allowed in.
