Craving for Peking Duck? I highly recommend this relatively new restaurant at Bonifacio High Street.

Kirin, was so pleasing to the eye. When you view it from the outside, it seemed like it was hidden behind a waterfall and their sign was shining and catchy in a Gold-like backlight. The waiters were also so pleasant when they led us to our table. Most of the tables were round, of course, and the interior was mostly in goldish color.

Since most of us were craving for Peking Duck, we ordered one whole Duck for 10 people. One whole duck was around Php 1600. The duck was cut into strips so that we could wrap it in wrappers that they give together with vegetables (carrots, cucumber and leeks). The sauce for this is Hoisin sauce. One whole duck can actually serve 20 people!

After they carve out the duck, they fry the remaining parts that still have meat and shred it into tinier parts. They cook it in spicy sauce! You should try this!

There were so many great dishes in this place! I also fell in love with the Hot Chicken and Prawn Salad (Php 300). The Chicken and prawns were deep fried and breaded. The breading was crispy and ironically, matched the very creamy sauce of the prawn salad. The salad was a mixture of breaded prawns, different fruits and a creamy sweet sauce.

We also recommend the Steamed Lapu-Lapu (Php 130/100 grams). The lapu-Lapu was very tender and fresh.

The other dishes that we ordered were: the Seafood and Vegetable Fried Noodles (Php 230), Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice (Php 198), Pork Asado (Php 230) and the Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet (Php 260). All of these dishes were not at all disappointing.

So if you are craving for Chinese food, especially Peking Duck, do try to visit Kirin!
