Alfredo’s Steaks at Tomas Morato

    Are you craving for steak and are in the Quezon City area? Have you tried Alfredo’s Steaks? We went to Alfredo’s Steaks restaurant last week to celebrate the birthday of my brother-in-law. We wanted to have a filling dinner so we decided to have steak for dinner.

    Parking was quite limited. Although this statement would hold true for all other restaurants in Tomas Morato. The location was quite good since we know Tomas Morato Avenue to be a busy street. When we entered the Alfredo’s Steaks restaurant, we were greeted by a cozy ambiance with a wooden interior. It was like going inside a simple country home. They even had a replica of a fireplace.

    You will have to go up to the second floor of Alfredo’s Steaks. The second floor area can accommodate around 50-75 people. We were so hungry that we ordered appetizers. We first ordered their Hearty French Onion Soup (Php 140) and the Gambas Al Ajillo (Php 325).

    As you can see, it was both delicious. We even forgot to take a picture of the Gambas before eating it. If you love cheese, you will enjoy the French Onion soup of Alfredo’s Steaks. It was like I ordered for cheese with soup, instead of soup with cheese. I am a lover of cheese so this was great for me!

    We also ordered the Fisherman’s Catch at Php 695. It was a big dish with tempura, fish singers, calamares fritos and baked mussels with lots of cheese!

    For my main course, I ordered the Fire-grill Lamb Chops at Php 550. It was served with mash potatoes and vegetables. It was a decent dish, but I was not that full. the lamb did not have much meat in it.

    EJ ordered steak. It looked absolutely delicious. He said that the steak was tender and it was cooked well. Do tell the waiters to cook it medium well, so it comes out perfectly.

    All the men ordered steak and were pretty pleased about their dishes. The price ranges from Php 595 for a Tenderloin steak to a high of Php 1,550 for a Ribeye Steak.

        My family and I went to have dinner at Alfredo’s Tomas Morato last July 10, 2011. Meron nag-recommend sa sister ko na meron daw silang Steak-All-You-Can.  Naku, eat all you can nga, pero service was really bad!!! Hindi namin nagustuhan ang buffet choices so we opted for a la carte instead.  We went in, more than 5 mins seated na, hindi pa kami naaabutan ng menu! When we’ve decided what to order, wala namang waiters available to take our orders! Nung mag-o-order na kami, lahat ng gusto naming order-in, out of stock daw. One of them was Fisherman’s Catch, one of their featured platers.  After taking our orders mag-iisang oras na hindi pa dumadating order namin! Gusto ko na sanang mag-walk-out then biglang lumabas ang order namin. …So eat. Mag-bi-bill-out, ang tagal din! While waiting for our bill, ung katabing table namin, nag-order din ng Fisherman’s Catch (the one we previously wanted to order), meron naman pala at na-serve naman sa kanila! Our dining experience was really bad that night gusto ko na ngang sugurin ang manager but I couldn’t find him/her!!! I will never recommend going to that restaurant ever again!
