Craft Pub and Grill at the Fort Strip

We were walking from the parking lot to look for a place to eat, when a waiter approached us to try out the new restaurant nearby, called Craft. Of course we wanted to try something new, so we followed him to enter two wooden doors. We thought it was a new club, as we would pass by this area. We did not know that Craft Pub and Grill also served delicious food. Dennis, our server, led us to a table. The place was almost full already at 8:00 pm. We noticed that after we got in, they were already turning down people as the place was full.

Since it was our first visit, the waiter gave us two free Cuba Libres. Cuba Libres were cola mixed with lime and rhum.

Yummy Salad!

For our appetizer, we ordered the Craft Salad (Php 445). It was a mixture of black beans, corn, romaine, tomatoes, basil, cilantro, tortilla chips, onion, chicken barbeque strips and my favorite, turnips! What I liked about it is the sauce. It tasted like honey barbeque sauce. I think I found an addition to my list of favorite salads!

We then ordered a burger and chicken wings, as suggested by the server. They said that these are the two dishes that we HAVE to try when eating at Craft.

From the Wings section of the menu, we ordered the Classic Craft and the Garlic Parmesan. The Classic Craft was made with a special batter made by Craft. It came with tomato ketchup as sauce. It was okay, but for us, it was not really a stand-out. It was not as oily though as other wings that we have tried in the past.

The Garlic Parmesan was quite unique. The breading is similar to that of mozzarella sticks that we have tried before (forgot where though :<) As for the sauce, it came with salsa.

For 6 pieces of wings, it will cost you Php 185. Not bad actually! These wings are quite filling.

We also ordered the Craft Burger (Php 375). It had a half-pound patty made from US Angus Beef. The Craft Burger was then topped with cheese, horseradish sauce and crispy onion rings. This burger looked and tasted yummy! The patty was cooked perfectly — not undercooked nor burnt. I love horseradish sauce so I give them bonus points for this.

We wanted to try the dessert, but we were so full. We didn’t get to finish the wings and burger. I, of course, finished the salad.

It’s a cool place to hang out with friends and enjoy the ambiance, music (they have a band that plays every Wednesday evening), the food and drinks!
