The Birth of Manila Worskhops: Calling Entrepreneurs!

I know that a lot of people have this dream of owning their own company --- of being the 'boss'. I have the same dream. I have been in an employee in an advertising agency and I have been a product manger in a corporation (until now). I have also been employed under my family business and have started my own businesses as well. With all these various experiences, I have seen people succeed and people fail. I have heard people get fired and have fired people. I have seen the struggles of owners of companies and I have seen victorious and contented employees. It was with all of these experiences that I thought of starting Manila Workshops.

Putting up a business in the Philippines takes a lot of guts and a lot of cash. You have to have a really good idea with a unique selling proposition and you have to have loads of cash to implement this idea and pay for all your overhead expenses. If you plan to put up a brick and mortar store, then one of your major expense would be the rent that you have to pay monthly. My friends and I have this really good fashion idea. It's unique and we know that we will help a lot of Filipinos in this project. We were looking for a place and we came across the The Collective.
