Two years ago, my husband needed to force me to buy and put up a Christmas Tree. I’m not Scrooge, but I was just thinking of the limited space of our home. Last year though, things took a turn when we had our first child. I was the one who was excited to put up a Christmas tree and to decorate our home, so that our baby (8 months at that time) can look at the lights! This year, I am even more excited since she’s almost two and can already understand and interact with us (although using Martian language).

I’m in the mood for a DIY Christmas this year, and found this amazing way to create a parol using Coca-Cola Bottles and to join the SariSaring Happiness Day, which is today! Have you seen this already? If not, do check it out!

I love this campaign of Coca-Cola because it reminds me that you don’t have to spend much to celebrate Christmas. Christmas is my favorite time of the year, since all of us spread happiness and love. I think it’s the time of the year where everyone should be positive and should celebrate this season of giving. I think that my plan to celebrate a DIY Christmas with Coca-Cola will make Christmas this year more meaningful because I will get to spend more time with my family (while making all these stuff) and by using recycled materials, I feel like I’m giving back to the community by being more conscious of making the world a greener and better place to live in.

With this, i’d like to share that it’s #SariSaringHappiness Day today (November 8) and so, together, let’s create and light up our COCA-COLA® parols with the whole country and share early #SariSaringHappiness this Christmas. There will be lighting hubs around the country, specifically in Manila, Tacloban, Pampanga, Batangas, Bacolod, and Davao. Make sure to take a photo or a video of it and share it on social media accounts using #SariSaringHappiness Day.

Let’s all have a DIY Christmas!
