People have heard of cronuts. Yes, they have been a pretty popular treat. People have been lining up for these. But have you heard of Bronuts? I heard that these pastries or whatever you call them are always out of stock. You can find these Bronuts at a stall in Baker’s Dozen. We always wanted to try these, but by the time we would get to the stall, they wouldn’t have any left already (and to think we are always at the Power Plant Mall).

It so happened that one fine day, we had to be at the mall early. I was trying to entertain my Baby Zeeka by walking back and forth at the lowest floor of the mall. And then (*ting*), I had the bright idea of checking out the Bronuts stall. Lo and behold, they still had 4 flavors available and so, I got one of each! I just had to try each flavor. I had them reserve a box already for me (since I left my bag and wallet with EJ who was eating at a restaurant). While I was tasting the different flavors, Baby Z was also trying to reach out to grab a little piece of the bronut samples. I had to get her out of there! Even babies are tempted to try it. Bravo! Anyway, I told them that I’d come back for my box. I had them ready it already. This was to make sure that I would finally get to try these famous bronuts.

Anyway, when I came back, I paid for my orders. I think each piece was at Php 110. My mom said that the most delicious flavor was blueberries and cream. They didn’t have it that day, so Bronut peeps, in case you read this review, I would love to have you contact me once you have that flavor. I NEED to try those!

For the available flavor that day, Bronuts had these…

Belgian Chocolate Bronut

Strawberry Yogurt

Cream Cheese and Bacon Bronut

Super Floss

We did a taste test at home and Ej and I chose what we liked the most. He liked the Strawberry Yogurt the most with Super Floss as a close second. I on the other had loved the Cream Cheese with Bacon and the Super Floss as a close second too. The Belgian chocolate was good, but I wish they didn’t place the Toffee crunch on top. I’m also really not a fan of caramel so I wished that the bronut sandwiched chocolate, too, and not caramel.

Anyway, I really loved the other flavors and yes, they are worth trying! I now understand why they always run out of stock!

Congratulations Bronuts! Love love love!
