A lot of people were shocked when I made the big decision to quit from my day job last October 2012. Admittedly, it was hard for me to make that decision. I wrote about my story in my other blog: THE BIG LEAP: MY STORY. I didn’t have a hard time adjusting to the life that I am living now and this is because of my support group of work-at-home-moms and mompreneurs. I am part of the Manila WAHMs group in Facebook and recently, I became part of this WAHMDerful Life Sisterhood (Facebook Page and Website)

This support group is amazing! You get to learn from the conversations that these WAHMs have with each other. To help the community, Martine (DaintyMom.com) and I created a series of workshops for the work-at-home-moms, work-at-home-dads and the work-at-home-marrieds, or those who are aspiring to be such, that would help all of these people.

We started with the first one last October 2012 with 40 attendees. The next one was last January 2013 with 70 attendees. We are having another one with breakout sessions on Virtual Assistance and Writing (again!… This is a rerun) on April 13, 2013. This is the rerun of the WAHMderful Life Workshop: Real Ways to be a WAHM!

This will be another opportunity for those aspiring to work from their own homes to learn from the speakers and to get to know other work-at-home-moms/dads!
