My girlfriend, Joyce, and I decided to celebrate my last day as a member of the 20s club at Katre. She loves eating at Katre and I don’t disagree with her. So what’s the difference between agreeing and not disagreeing? I’m not going to answer that here.

We had a reservation and we had gotten seats beside the window. I had a view of the Katre signage.

The place could use a little renovation. The place, though cozy, looks a little old. I’m not that particular about it looking a bit old, but other customers might be more discriminating.

For our starters, we ordered Trilogy Bruschetta, Shrimp Bisque and Heart of Romaine. The shrimp bisque is really good. The Heart of Romaine did not look appetizing, but the cheese dip with olive oil, garlic and lemon juice was unexpectingly delicious.

We ordered Herb Crusted Lamb Chops and Roast Chicken with Garlic, Lemon, Cumin and Basil for our main course. Lamb is one of Joyce’s favourite dishes, and she always comes back for Katre’s lamb chops.

At this point, we were so full, but of course, we don’t skip dessert. We ordered a Caramel Ice Cream Cake and an order of Crème brûlée. We loved the Ice Cream Cake, but the Crème brûlée was just okay. The latter was not that memorable.
