When we think of life abroad, we think of new adventures and of the countless opportunities to earn money. Often times we wonder, “Ano kaya itsura ng Saudi? Pano kayo ang buhay ng mga Pinoy sa Hong Kong?” Oftentimes, we want to immerse ourselves in that experience by going to popular Filipino places in Hong Kong like the World Center or in Lucky Plaza of Singapore. After such a trip we end up thinking, I bet there are a lot more places like these in the world, less well known but just as “Maka-Pinoy”.

This year, UnionBank Global Filipino came up with a program allowing our displaced kababayans to share with us just how great it is living abroad. It’s a photoblogging contest where our kababayans overseas can share a glimpse of what it means to be Filipino abroad! Joining is so easy, a Pinoy just needs to send their picture to globalfilipino@unionbankph.com and become a fan of facebook.com/unionbankph. The picture should be taken during the promo period from November 5 – December 5, 2010

Picture picture! Promo

More than the reward of seeing other photos being shared by other Filipinos in Saudi, Hong Kong and other places abroad, UnionBank is also giving away 2 domestic plane tickets to the picture with the most number of likes.

Whether it be doing a very Filipino pose in a famous landmark abroad or doing something very Filipino like eating Lucky Me pancit canton amongst foreigners, I bet there will be some very interesting entries out there.

I’m already thinking of all my friends and kamag-anaks overseas who I can ask to join this promo! The plane tickets are transferable anyway! Talk about not so hidden intentions right? ;)
