I think I may be getting fat. But since the doctor advised me to rest and heal and recover, I have more than enough excuse to eat anything I want. This is good, since I have discovered a simple yet delicious dessert from The Cookie Jar.

We discovered this homemade dessert in the Summer Solstice bazaar (and to think, we were just tagging along with Manila Shopaholic girl). When others believe in the singing and dancing and boxing abilities of the Pinoy, I believe in cooking and baking talent of our race.

The Banoffee of The Cookie Jar is a proof that we can bake. The Banoffee was made out of graham crackers for the crust, bananas, toffee, cream and chocolate. The consistency of the Banoffee was just right. I like it served after it’s refrigerated. The crust though was a bit crumbly. I guess their wan’t too much butter placed so as to hold the graham crumbs together, which I personally like. I like it with less butter. Just expect the crumbs to fall into pieces.
